- Submit the Expression of Interest with supporting documents
Once your application is ready, please submit your Expression of Interest via email to admin@arcbc.ca before 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time on September 15, 2023.
Not all projects will receive funding. Program funds will be allocated on a project-by-project basis based on alignment with the Evaluation Criteria.
- Wait for response from ARC Management
After submitting your application, you will receive an e-mail from the ARC Management team confirming receipt of your application. Successful applicants will receive an RFP after careful review of their EOI.
An application (in response to an RFEOI or RFP) must meet the following minimum criteria in order to be eligible for funding:

- The application must be written in English;
- The application must be complete and/or provide sufficient information for proper evaluation;
- The application must be submitted by an eligible proponent;
- The proposed project must support an eligible criteria;
- The proposed project must not carry substantial risk of detrimental side effects (e.g. environmental impacts);
- The proponent must commit to contributing at least 25% of the total project cost, and must provide evidence of funds and/or in-kind support for their share of project costs;
- The proponent must demonstrate they have secured additional funding through other sources, with the total Government of British Columbia contribution not exceeding 50% of total project costs;
- The proposed project can not have previously received funding through the ARC program and build on or sufficiently advance a previously funded project; and
- All project costs must be incurred in Canada
Applications will be evaluated based on alignment with the following evaluation criteria:

- The proposed project supports the commercialization, demonstration or export of a B.C.-based ZEV product, service or technology;
- The proposed project has strong commercialization and market adoption potential;
- The proposed project demonstrates innovation, creativity and/or pursuit of excellence in its field (i.e., in what ways does the product, service or technology differ from that of its competitors);
- The proposed project promotes synergies/collaboration with other entities in B.C.’s ZEV sector (such as through a partnership or consortium bid) or otherwise encourages the development of a ZEV cluster in B.C.;
- The proposed project provides positive economic benefits (e.g. job creation, export growth, manufacturing of ZEVs or ZEV components);
- The proposed project leverages external funding (i.e. grant stacking and proponent funding);
- The proposed project has strong potential for a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions throughout B.C., Canada and the rest of the world as a result of the adoption of the technology;
- The proposed scope and timeline are reasonable for project completion;
- The proposed project management team has the capacity to carry out the proposed initiative; and
- The proposed project expenses are reasonable and do not exceed fair market value of the goods and services being provided.
Advanced Research and Commercialization Program
The Advanced Research and Commercialization Program is one of a suite of programs offered under the Province of B.C.’s CleanBC Go Electric Program. The program is funded through the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Low Carbon Innovation and is administered by MNP LLP.
